Semiramide, La Signora regale
Professor at the Department of Music, San Bernardino University California, and Manuel Garcia’s biographer
This is really spectacular: the concept is very original and the visual presentation is very rich. [Anna Bonitatibus] has made a wonderful contribution in bringing this music to light. It really deserves to be heard. I don’t know which I liked the best: the Porpora is excellent, but also the Bernasconi (very poignant); but also this version of the Rossini is, very dramatic. And, of course, I love the García. He wrote beautiful recitatives, and the prayer with the winds is very sensitive. […] Maybe, with efforts like this, little-by-little this forgotten repertoire will become known.
